Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur broke records at the box office with their superhit film, Aashiqui 2, in 2013. It was their breakthrough film. The Mohit Suri directorial was a musical romantic drama. The audience loved Shraddha and Aditya's unique and fresh chemistry. While they are yet to reunite for a new project, the actors were at T-Series' office on Wednesday for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.
Shraddha and Aditya met at the T-Series office last evening. In a viral video, they were seen hugging each other and engaging in a quick chat before leaving. Netizens were instantly reminded of their Aashiqui days. A fan wrote, "We wanted to see them together from long timee finallyyyy." Another commented, "He still looks at her like she is his prettiest view." A person said, "They have so purest heart and the strongest one too... We really wanted to see them again and finally our little manifestation got real. Touchwood. ...my poor heart can't take this.. We're in heaven rn!"

Fans demanded a film headlined by Shraddha and Aditya. A person said, "Someone bring these two back please," whereas a fan wrote, "Get them back on screen." Emotional fans commented, "Omggghhhhhhhhgg i am cryingggg," "No I am not crying," "This moment has whole heart" and more.
Aashiqui 2 wasn't a direct sequel to Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal's 90s blockbuster. It revolved around Rahul, a singing sensation, who falls in love with Aarohi, a woman who sings in a bar. He played an important role in making her a famous singer. They were in love. However, due to his own insecurities and shortcomings, their relationship faced obstacles. The film released in 2013 and was a huge hit.
Reportedly, Shraddha and Aditya were supposed to be the lead pair in Malang's sequel. During the pandemic, the film was in the scripting stage. There's no further development on it. Apart from Aashiqui 2, they were seen together in Ok Jaanu.
After the success of Aashiqui 2, T-Series has greenlit the third installment. Kartik Aaryan has come on board this time. The female lead is yet to be announced. As per reports, actress Akanksha Sharma will be launched as a fresh face in Bollywood with the romantic drama.
