Aaradhya hugs grandpa Amitabh Bachchan in this unseen photo from his 79th birthday celebrations

Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 79th birthday on October 11. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared a glimpse into the superstar's birthday celebrations with an endearing photo on Instagram. The photo features her daughter Aaradhya posing happily with grandpa Amitabh.

Aishwarya shares a birthday post for her father-in-law every year, and this year it featured Aaradhya hugging her grandfather while smiling into the camera.

For the caption, Aishwarya wrote: "Happy happy birthday dearest darling Dadajii-Pa. Love you forever and beyond."

Amitabh Bachchan also greeted many of his fans outside his home, Jalsa, in Mumbai. The 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood was seen with a garland and a tilak on his forehead.

Abhishek Bachchan, too, shared a loving post for dad yesterday. He shared a video and captioned it, "My hero, my idol, my friend, my father! Happy birthday Dad. Love you."

The Bollywood icon thanked his fans and friends for their wishes on Instagram. He shared a picture of himself and wrote: "My gratitude for the love you give me... I shall never be able to repay it... nor shall I ever be able to fathom your affection..."

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in the film 'Chehre' alongside Emraan Hashmi. He has also been shooting for season 13 of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. The thespian has a number of films in the pipeline, namely, 'Jhund', 'Brahmastra', 'Mayday', 'Good Bye', 'Uunchai', and an untitled Nag Ashwain film.
