Aamir Khan was last seen in the film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' which was released a year ago. After much delays, the official adaptation of The Forrest Gump' was released in August of 2022. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. After its underwhelming performance at the box office, Khan is yet to announce his next. However, the actor has booked the release date of his next.
Aamir Khan will be releasing his next film in Christmas 2024. While Aamir Khan said he is on a break from acting, his production house will continue to release films. The actor is following a studio model for his production house with five films that are at various stages of development. The actor-producer, who has remakes of 'Campeones' and 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey', besides 'Pritam Pyaare', 'Lapata Ladies', and 'Love Today'.
Aamir Khan had earlier said that he would also be headlining the remake of the Spanish film 'Campeones'. However, after the release of 'Laal Sigh Chaddha', it was said that the actor will only be producing the film. But the actor will be seen in front of the camera for his December 20, 2024 release.
Last year in November at an event, Aamir Khan had spoken about taking a break from acting. "When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that and nothing else happens in my life. Which is why I decided to take a break. "I was supposed to do a film called 'Champions' after 'Laal Singh...' It's a wonderful script, a beautiful story. It's a very heartwarming and lovely film but I feel like I want to take a break. I want to be with my family, with my mom, with my kids," Aamir said.

"I feel like I have been working for 35 years and I feel I have been single-mindedly focused on my work... And I feel it's not fair to the people who are close to me. It's not fair to me also in many ways. This is the time for me... to experience life in a different way. I'm looking forward to the next year, year and a half in which I'm not actually working as an actor for the first time.," the 57-year-old star said.
"I'll work as a producer on 'Champions' because I really believe in the film. I'll approach other actors now to see if they are interested to do the role that I was hoping to do. I'm at that stage in my life where I want to enjoy my relationships," he added.
