Aamir Khan and Zoya Akhtar
Aamir Khan, also known as Mr. Perfectionist, recently made headlines when he appeared on Kapil Sharma's âThe Great Indian Kapil Show'. The actor, known for films like â3 Idiots' and âPK', is now reportedly set to join hands with filmmaker and close friend Zoya Akhtar. Nine years after âDil Dhadakne Do', the two will collaborate on a film in which Aamir will play a middle-aged protagonist.
According to report, nine years after âDil Dhadakne Do' (2015), in which he lent his voice to the Mehra family's pet dog, Pluto, Aamir Khan is set to team up with Zoya Akhtar for a film. They recently met to discuss a movie on which she wants to collaborate with him. Aamir is said to have liked the slice-of-life narrative with a middle-aged protagonist. Since he is known to not finalize a film until he hears the complete script, he has suggested Zoya develop the screenplay and meet him again for a narration. If all goes well, the film will be a joint production between Aamir's banner and Zoya and Reema Kagti's Tiger Baby Productions. For now, he is busy with RS Prasanna's 'Sitare Zameen Par', slated to release around Christmas 2024.
Regarding his current work, Aamir Khan is busy working on 'Sitare Zameen Par". According to the latest report, Aamir Khan's 'Sitare Zameen Par' will focus on Down Syndrome and the challenges faced by individuals dealing with it.
A source close to the development revealed to Hindustan Times, "Just like âTZP', Aamir Khan aims to bring attention to another condition stigmatized in our society through âSitare Zameen Par'. He has found a heartfelt story that illuminates Down Syndrome and the experiences of those dealing with it. He intends to handle the subject with great sensitivity, creating an impact that encourages treating people with the syndrome as equals."
