Woody Allen has won three Academy Awards and been nominated a total of 21 times: 14 as a screenwriter, six as a director, and one as an actor.
He has more screenwriting Academy Award nominations than any other writer; all are in the Best Original Screenplay category.
Allen is also a jazz clarinetist. What began as a teenage hobby has led to regular public performances at various small venues in his hometown of Manhattan, with occasional appearances at various jazz festivals.
He has been married thrice. In 1956 he tied the knot with Harlene Rosen, in 1966, he married Louise Lasser and in 1997 he walked down the aisle yet again with Soon-Yi Previn. Though he was in a relationship with Mia Farrow or Diane Keaton, he never married them.u00a0
