While there have been a few Rs 100 crore-plus films this year in Bollywood, looks like the last month of the year could prove to be a cracker. Aamir Khan's upcoming film Dhoom 3 will release on December 20, but rumours are that Salman's next, Jai Ho, will hit the marquee on New Year's Eve.
Incidentally, in April, there was buzz about Salman apparently wanting to let Dhoom 3 have a clear run at the box office, because it starred two actors he holds dear to him -- Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan. But looks like the star has had a change of heart.
Jai Ho was initially scheduled to release on January 24.

During one of his Big Boss appearances recently, Salman said, "We are trying to release our film and beat the box office record. Ranbir is creating records and even Aamir's film is releasing soon."
At the recent event held in the run-up to his film, Aamir was sporting enough to take questions from the media about their impending almost clash-like situation. He said, "Salman is a very dear friend and I am sure whatever he will plan or do, will benefit us."
Insiders from Jai Ho say that the makers have been racing against time to wrap up the shoot in order to have their film ready for release soon.
Says a unit-hand, "Though the release date has not been made official, the film will most probably release on December 31. The shoot is almost over."
Director Sohail Khan says, "The film's release date is scheduled for January 24. I am shooting and preparing for my release."u00a0
