Choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan has had no time to bask in the glory of his recent success. After winning a recently concluded reality show, Salman has been sweating it out for his future projects

Busy with choreographing, acting and an upcoming world tour, this Bangalore boy couldn't ask for more. In a free-wheeling interview with CS, he talks about his passion, family support and entry into B-Town.

Jack of all trades
I was born in Bangalore and my feet used to shiver since I was10-day-old. My mom had taken me to the doctor and he said that I was perfectly fine. I have happy feet since then. I spent my childhood in Saudi Arabia. As a child, I wasn't exposed to dancing but I did shake a leg at parties, marriage processions and other festivals. I loved sports and played basketball, football and cricket. At the same time, I learnt the tabla, flute, piano and guitar.

Moment of truth
I returned to Bangalore for my higher education. I rejected the initial offer to participate in my previous reality show as I was struggling with my studies. My grades were very low and my father refused to fund my education. I was performing in corporate events to pay for my fees and other expenses. Even when I rejected the offer, sub consciously, I knew that dancing was my passion and I couldn't stay away from it.u00a0Then, I took the permission of my parents and went ahead to participate in the show. After winning the show, I got a chance to assist Remo D'Souza with F..A.L.TU. Then, ABCD happened. The journey has been a wonderful one so far. I am at peace when I am dancing. I get a real high when I am performing live before an audience.

Life's an inspiration
When it comes to dancing, life is my inspiration. When life provides you with an opportunity, one should go ahead and get it. My dancing icon is Michael Jackson. I also love Prabhu Deva and Hrithik Roshan. I am a versatile dancer and love forms like Hip hop and Tango.

Life after ABCD
After ABCD, life has changed considerably. People have started recognising me. Directors call me for auditions. I am reading interesting scripts everyday. Life has created many opportunities and opened doors for me as an actor.

Family support
Initially, my parents were skeptical as no one from our family was associated with the film industry. They wanted me to do a proper job and take life seriously. However, when they saw me excelling in dance, they became very happy. I love to spend my free time with my family, especially my mom who is an awesome cook. God has given me immense happiness and I am grateful to him.
