Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned mentor for a group of business management students from Stanford University, which is on an academic excursion to India. The students, who were in the city to interact with achievers from diverse fields, had SRK at the top of their wish list and got some first-hand advice from the actor during an informal interaction on Thursday.

Passion matters most
King Khan, who started off his career with the tube and burst onto the big screen with Deewana to never look back again, has a clutch of successful businesses that makes him a role model for B-school students. At the event, he talked about venturing into fields that he is most passionate about. "I am passionate about films, kids and cricket and hence, I make cinema, I have KidZania and I have KKR," he said.

As usual, the star was not guided by a written script, which allowed him to inject humour at intervals - like when he requested the audience not to let their conversation go outside the hall because it could cause unwanted controversies. While there was nothing controversial to the discussion, the students were both entertained and informed about the actor's approach to life. He said: "I do not behave like a boss even after owning all these businesses. According to me, major decisions should be taken by those who have passion. Hence, I let the CEO decide."

Secret to success
The students put a volley of questions to the actor and his answers summed up his secret to success: "There are no secrets; you have to love your frailties. God has been very kind about frailties; he does not let them go away. They will always be there. One should never fear them, but should learn from them. And you will only learn from them and not fear them when you have the feeling that you have nothing to lose. I always like to go back to that feeling."
