In a season of Bollywood break-ups, the personal life of the Hindi film industry's top stars is under sharper scrutiny. Vidya Balan knows that, but cares two hoots about who writes what about her "so far, so good" marriage to former Disney India chief and now independent producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur.
The actress says they are not the "stereotypical husband and wife" the world expects them to be, and this often leads to rumours about their marriage hitting a rough patch. "Maybe, we don't take enough selfies to share on Twitter, or hold hands all the time," she says with a twinge of sarcasm. "People question why we don't go to events together, or why we went for separate events on the same day. They find it odd; I find their reaction amusing. If I don't know the people he works with, how does it make sense to attend his parties? He follows the same funda."
Vidya and Siddharth wed in 2012 after a two-year courtship. "We will complete four years of marriage next month. I don't consider it necessary to react to rumours as long as things are fine between us," she says confidently. Last month, Siddharth stepped down from his role as CEO and MD of Disney India to start his own business. Asked if he consulted her about his big decision, Vidya ays, "I am not sure if âconsult' is the right word. But, yes, we did discuss it. He's my husband, and I will support him in whatever he does."

Vidya is currently promoting Kahaani 2. Reacting to the overwhelming response to the film's trailer -- a âwanted' poster of Vidya -- finally brings a smile. "Many people actually fell for it. They knew they were looking at someone familiar, but were sort of convinced that she is actually a criminal on the run. It was hilarious."
