Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sonu Nigaam, lock horns over royalties

After Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan allegedly got into a heated debated on the issue of copyrights and royalties, it was the turn of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Sonu Nigaam to verbally attack each other on the subject.

After Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan allegedly got into a heated debated on the issue of copyrights and royalties, it was the turn of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Sonu Nigaam to verbally attack each other on the subject.

Apparently, Sonu proposed that royalties should be divided such that producers get 50 per cent of the profits, singer 25 per cent and music directors 25 per cent. Vidhu Vinod Chopra disagreed. He allegedly abused him verbally even though Sonu warned him to mind his tongue. He allegedly went to the extent of telling Sonu h will never work with him again. Sonu naturally replied that it was Vidhu's loss and not his. Finally, Madhur Bhandharkar stepped in and ended the argument.

Sonu claims that Vidhu Vinod Chopra is known to throw choice abuses when he is angry and so does not hold the incident against him.
