With a bleak 2017 behind him, Vicky Kaushal says he's now looking forward to an inspiring year in cinema. "I have [Rajkumar Hirani's] Sanjay Dutt biopic, Raazi and Love Per Square Foot in my kitty. Filmmakers are finding me promising and are allowing me to hone my craft," Kaushal tells mid-day. In fact, the actor has also been signed on for Uri, a film based on the 2016 surgical strikes conducted by Pakistan on India.

Before that kicks-off, Kaushal has the release of Meghna Gulzar's Raazi to look forward to. The film pairs him with Alia Bhatt for the first time. "Alia is talented. Having been in the industry for only a few years, she has played certain roles terrifically." Kaushal is currently devoted to a passion project, a play titled 36 Ghante, which will be held tomorrow. "The actors will learn of their co-actors, the script and director only 12 hours prior to the show."
