Madhur Bhandarkar, the master of realistic cinema says that it's reality that excites him the most. "I like to draw inspiration from real people and events. That excites me more than fictional stories. I surf almost all the news channels daily to look for real dramatic events," says Madhur.
But it is his eye for detail that is evident in all his films. "I have a journalist's mind. I like to observe things and present them the way they are. If I weren't a director, I would be a reporter," he explains.
Madhur, we think you should stick to what you are doing. We don't want you giving us a run for our money.
