MARY POPPINS: I used to watch a lot of English movies during my childhood. My dad (photographer Jagdish Mali) would take me on his scooter to watch them. At that time only select theatres would run English films, so it used to be a big outing for me. I still recall this musical which I found fascinating. The plot about a nanny with magical powers and a bunch of naughty kids was a fun watch.

BORN FREE:
Set in Africa, this was a touching movie about a couple who raises a lion's cub as a pet. But it is heartbreak time when the lioness grows up. They have to set her free and teach her the ways of living a wild life and capturing prey for food. I used to love watching it for that bond between humans and animals.

PINJRA: V Shantaram's Marathi film with Sandhya was unique. I can still recall the energy that exuded in Sandhya's dances and the melodious music.

KATHA: Sai Paranjpe's film with a Mumbai chawl as the backdrop. Farooque Shaikh used to be one of my fave actors and I loved watching his movies. It was a simple story with characters that we could easily identify with.

JAANE BHI DO YAARON: This laugh riot set on the streets of Mumbai is a film that I still remember. Each and every character is so loveable I have watched it again and again.
