Yesterday, Swara Bhasker took on filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and called him "low and sick" after he called her a "fake feminist" and tweeted that she travel to the tribal area of Bastar to understand "how the real vagina" feels like.
Ever since the Anaarkali of Aarrah (2017) wrote an open letter to Sanjay Leela Bhansali saying that his film, Padmaavat, made her feel reduced to a "vagina only" due to the jauhar climax scene, she has had her share of detractors. Agnihotri is the latest. He tweeted, "We have interviewed many ex-Naxal women in Bastar."

"Each has a gut-wrenching story to tell, full of abuse, rape and misogyny. If they marry, they aren't allowed to have children. I think Swara must make a trip to understand how the 'real vagina' feels like." He added, "What women need to understand is that it's because of fake feminists like Swara that the feminist movement gets jeopardised." The actor replied, "I'm sorry did you just suggest that I go get myself raped? Like seriously (sic)?" The vagina dialogues continue.
