Sara Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Abhishek Kapoor in Kedarnath
After multiple changes in its release date, Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 is ready to keep its date with the audience on November 29. With the latest development, the much-awaited sci-fi movie will clash with Sara Ali Khan's launch vehicle, Kedarnath, which hits theatres a day later. Trade gurus indicate that the arrival of the magnum opus is likely to cause a rejig of other releases.
Trade expert Amod Mehra states that the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer will suffer if it locks horns with Shankar's project. "2.0 is expected to break several records at the box-office. One will be a fool to release his film on the same day," says Mehra.
Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar in 2.0
Given Rajnikanth's unparalleled popularity, distributor-exhibitor Akshaye Rathi opines that films releasing a week prior and later would benefit from a rethink. "Even a film featuring any of the biggest Bollywood superstars wouldn't stand a chance against 2.0. I think Kedarnath makers may change its release date. I won't be surprised if Total Dhamaal, which comes a week later, and Student Of The Year 2 that is scheduled to hit screens on November 23, reconsider their dates as well."

Considering Kedarnath has seen its fair share of trouble, one would assume the makers would want a smooth sail at theatres. A source from the production unit of Kedarnath says, "We will have to wait and watch if the film is going to be delayed again."
