Students of the Government Model Engineering college here are arranging the musical tribute to raise funds for the family of a A V Andews, non-teaching staffer of the college who passed away on July 5 this year.
Andrews was the longest serving member of the college. The entire fund collected from the programme will be utilised towards construction of a house for the family of Andrews and to educate his only son, a college press realease said. 'Yeh Sham Mastani' is one of the several philanthropic activities being organised by the college from time to time.
The event will feature Pradip Somasundaram and 'Cochin' Azad as lead singers. Keeping in view the passionate fan base of old Hindi music in Kochi, organisers undertook this venture as an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of Rajesh Khanna and revive a musical heritage, unknown to the youth today, he said.u00a0
