The 56-year-old has been attracting flak from many quarters for frequently being granted furlough since May 2013 when his sentence began after he was held guilty for illegal possession of arms under the Arms Act for the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case.
The jail administration has, however, denied giving a special and lenient treatment to him. Dutt emerged outside his Bandra residence yesterday evening with wife Maanayata Dutt and director Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
