In that period of time, he has to study the surroundings, interact with people around him and extract as much information and perhaps even change the tide of events if possible.

The idea is ingenious because it sets a bomb ticking that explodes right at the climax. Captain Goodwin (Farmiga) and her associate (Wright) want Stevens to enter the mind of a passenger who was on a train attacked by terrorists.

What's hot: There's enough ammo loaded in the film to last for the two-hour period. The excitement seriously never stops right from the opening frame till the very end. Jake Gyllenhaal is superb in his role of a guy who's pushed into the unknown.

Despite the chaos and madness surrounding him and all the technical jargon doing the round, there's still loads of suspense and thrill to the story that makes it interesting. Stevens and his interactions with Goodwin and Wright capture the very essence of human behavior the desire to connect the dots and complete the picture.

Those wanting a non-liner storyline that has a lot going on beneath the surface will be pleased. The action scenes are stellar and Gyllenhaal has the believability his character requires.

What's not: Despite the excellent build up and middle the climax doesn't quite live up to the expectation. It's like going on an exciting treasure hunt but not finding the prize worthy enough to go through all that trouble. After a while, the whole eight-minute time capsule bit gets repetitive.

Be ready to capture all the minor details and be attentive if you want to be on the same page as Jones. While Monaghan seems totally at ease as Jake's girlfriend, the same can't be said about Farmiga who seems a bit uneasy about her role.

What to do: It's definitely worth attempting to crack this source code the film has a rivetting plot and some breath- taking action scenes.
