Sonakshi Sinha
Set to tickle funny bones in the upcoming Vashu Bhagnani venture, Welcome To New York, Sonakshi Sinha says she had industry veteran Govinda for inspiration. "Govinda sir will always remain the king of comedy," she says, she also finds actor Sridevi's timing impeccable. "I have grown up watching their films. Comedy comes naturally to them. Their timing is perfect. They can light up the screen within moments."
After dabbling in different genres over the past few years - drama (Noor), thriller (Ittefaq) and action (Akira and Force 2) - Sinha says her decision to green light the comedy stemmed from the desire to work on a "light and funny" project.

"I love to make people chuckle, and enjoy cracking up as well. A great deal of improvisation was done on set, so, the unit was in splits while filming." Sinha describes her character in Chakri Toleti's directorial venture as "a dhinchak modern-day girl". "She is a budding fashion designer, with a quirky sense of style."
Welcome To New York also pairs her with Dabangg co-star Salman Khan, with whom she features in the song, Nain Phisal Gaye. Sinha calls her reunion with the actor she debuted with as a "welcoming" one.
