Yuvika Chaudhary, the girl who made her debut in SRK's Om Shanti Om, got a chance to get up close and personal with Tabu while shooting for Toh Baat Pakki. "I had a terrific time shooting for this film and loved the whole experience," gushes Yuvika. She chats with CS about her work and bonding with Tabu:
Keeping busy
After OSO, I did Summer 2007 with Sikandar Kher, which released in 2008. The makers of Toh Baat Pakki saw that film and selected me for this role. I also did a number of ad films that kept me busy. I did get a few projects, but I didn't want to take up every film that came my way. It made sense waiting for the right project.
Having a blast
I loved my role in Toh Baat Pakki. My character Nisha is an Indian girl waiting for the right man. Her sister Tabu wants her to be paired with the best man and this leads to a series of adventures, of course with a happy ending. The team of the film was extremely sporting.
We used to hang out after shoots quite often. Sharman Joshi and Vatsal Seth would always play pranks on me and frankly, I enjoyed it. Without their pranks, the shoot would have been too drab.
Bonding with Tabu
In Tabu, I got a sister I never had. But during the film, we were two professionals. Tabu gave me the space to perform as a newcomer and I got to learn a lot from her. Post the film, we hit it off and today, we love watching films together. There is so much that I'm learning from her. I am really glad that I got this chance to make friends with such a talented person and a great human being.
Chilling out
I am a huge movie buff and love to watch all kinds of cinema. Besides that, I love adventure and activities like trekking, scuba diving and other adrenaline raising sports are my favourite.u00a0
