The 56-year-old's friend Rishi Raj informed that the 'London Thumakda' singer had called him on Wednesday and complained of chest and abdomen pain
Singer Labh Janjua, famous for his songs like London Thumakda and Jee Karda, was found dead at his home in Goregaon (West) yesterday. The Bangur Nagar police registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for post mortem.

Janjua, who hailed from Punjab has lent his voice to several chartbusters in movies like 'Queen', 'Dev D', 'Singh is King', 'Singh is Bliing', 'Band Baaja Baarat', 'Garam Masala', 'Partner' and many others. Janjua had been living alone at his flat in Dhiraj Residency in Goregaon (West) for the last six months.

According to Bangur Nagar police, around 9 am, the singer's domestic help rang the doorbell, but it remained unanswered. After waiting for a while, the maid called the building's security guard and secretary.
After trying for sometime, they informed the police, and called an ambulance and a locksmith to open the door. Upon entering the house, they found Janjua lifeless on the bed. The doctors on the site declared him dead.
After the panchnama, the cops sent the body for postmortem at Bhagwati hospital, Borivli (West). The 56-year-old's friend Rishi Raj informed that Janjua had called him on Wednesday and complained of chest and abdomen pain.
"When he told me about his pain, I took him to a hospital for check-up. After the treatment, he said that he was feeling okay. Later that night, he dropped me home in Oshiwara and also called me when he reached home. He even called his wife."
On Thursday, Raj called Janjua at 7:30 am, but he didn't respond to his calls. Worried, he reached his apartment and found it locked from inside. Then, Raj informed the secretary of the society and insisted they break open the door.
However, the secretary refused and asked him to inform the police first. After an argument with the secretary, Raj returned to his house. Later, after the cops reached and opened the door, Janjua's domestic help called Raj around 10.20 am to inform about his friend's demise.
Officials from Bangur Nagar police station said, "After the scrutiny of primary post mortem report doctor revealed that Janjua had diabetes, asthma and heart ailments for a while. The doctor also said that the cause of death could be his heart. We are waiting for the final post mortem report."
When mid-day spoke to senior forensic experts of Bhagwati Post Mortem Centre, they said that the cause of death is kept pending as of now, but there is a probability of natural death.
"There are a few body injuries that could've contributed to the death. Hence, we have sent the blood and viscera samples to Kalina Forensic Lab for testing. Prima facie, it looks like a natural death," said the expert.

Janjua was married to Daljeet Kaur 17 years ago. Kaur stays in Punjab with his family. Janjua had also adopted a son a few years back. On Thursday, his wife also called him, but he didn't answer her calls. Later, the cops informed her about his death.
The Bollywood music fraternity expressed grief over the untimely demise of the Punjabi singer. Gautam Sharma, actress Celina Jaitley's secretary, said, "Labh returned from a world tour two days back. He had another tour on his schedule. His last movie song is in the latest release Singh is Bling."
