"People who come to see a movie like fair-skinned heroines. They dislike dark-skinned heroines. This mindset needs to be changed," Shweta, the winner of reality show 'Bigg Boss 4', told reporters here.
"Indian mindset is such that they consider only fair girls as beautiful. They don't consider girls with wheatish complexion as beautiful despite their sharp features," she said.
Referring to the 1978 movie 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram', she said Hindi films have been giving prominence to the beauty of the soul of heroines as well. But, the audience largely don't like this, she said.
Asked why she is missing in Bhojpuri films these days, Shweta said she had only acted in three movies of the dialect.
"After this, I did not sign any Bhojpuri film as I was not offered good roles," the actress said.
She said that she cannot act in movies in which the actress is portrayed in an obscene manner.
To a poser, the actress said that she won't join any political party as she is averse to politics.
Shweta said that she is outspoken, and thus such persons can't be into politics.
