"Films are not a money-spinner for us. It is the content which matters. Not always, but we are also looking for socially relevant subjects," Sircar, who is shooting a father-daughter tale 'Piku' with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in the city, said.

Under his production banner Rising Sun Films, he is co-producing a Bengali film 'Open Tee Bioscope' which portrays the quintessential north Kolkata 'para' (neighbourhood) football.

Having made films like 'Madras Cafe' and 'Vicky Donor', this is his second Bengali movie after 'Aparajita Tumi' as a producer.

Shoojit said they would like to take 'Open Tee Bioscope' internationally because it would have a global appeal.

Directed by Anindya Chatterjee, front man of Bengali band 'Chandrabindoo', the film will hit the silver screen in January next year.

"The rivalry of football clubs East Bengal and Mohun Bagan is well-known all over but 'para' football is no different. It has its own charm.

The film brings to life the essence of north Kolkata and the story of these kids growing up, falling in love for the first time, the naughtiness, everything," the debut director said.
