Reports about Arbaaz Khan being miffed with Salman Khan's decision to give filmmaker Prabhudheva the nod to announce an upcoming sequel to Wanted (2008) did the rounds yesterday. The latter, it was speculated, was upset by his brother's call to go ahead with the project immediately, putting his much-awaited third instalment in the hit 'Dabangg' franchise on the back-burner.
Now, mid-day has learnt, Salman Khan's decision to work on 'Wanted' first stems from his desire to mend relations with Boney Kapoor, given that the actor's last collaboration with the producer failed to materialise.
Sources say, "Salman Khan had agreed to do 'No Entry Mein Entry' (a sequel to Kapoor's 2005 film) but it never took off because of his lack of interest in the project. Since he and Boney are old friends, he wanted to make it up to him."
The source adds that Arbaaz Khan's 'Dabangg 3' was meant to go on floors after 'Tiger Zinda Hai' was wrapped up. "Salman has only agreed to do 'Wanted' and Anurag Sinha's untitled next. Dabangg will roll next year."
