Superstar Salman Khan who is hosting 'Bigg Boss 11', thinks it will be tough for Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan to compete with him as television hosts
The distance between television and films has started to extinguish. The gap is being bridged by all the superstars of Bollywood foraying into the television league with their own shows as hosts. Salman Khan is all set to play the host of the eleventh season of 'Bigg Boss', he's been hosting it consecutively from the fourth season.
On Tuesday, the makers of 'Bigg Boss' hosted a lavish conference for the launch of this season, which has a unique theme of 'padosis' (neighbours). While Salman spoke about many things about the show, he was asked if he was all set to compete with Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan as television hosts, around the same time. Akshay Kumar will play host to 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' and Shah Rukh- 'Ted Talks: Nayi Soch', which would lead to an altogether different competition as hosts in the television league.
To which, the 'Dabangg' star said that it would be a tough competition. "I think Shah Rukh and Akshay are amazing. Shah Rukh is a great host and so is Akshay. He has also got an amazing comic timing and is quite witty. On the other hand, Shah Rukh has his own personality, his own style, swag, and charisma. I think it's going to be quite a tough competition." And then with a mischievous pause, he added, "for them," said Salman, after which he burst out of laughter.
Akshay, Salman, and Shah Rukh have hosted several other shows on television in the past. 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' by Akshay, 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain' by Shah Rukh, and '10 Ka Dum' by Salman. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan too has been associated with the small screen with his show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', with season 9 being on air currently.
Well, let's wait for the time to reveal, which actor's show has garnered the most praises.
Coming back to 'Bigg Boss', it will be aired from October 1.
