Renowned casting director-filmmaker, Mukesh Chhabra has made a substantial contribution to Indian cinema by introducing some of the most remarkable talents in the country to the world. Having worked closely with award-winning filmmakers for landmark movies, the cinephile has yet again proved his mettle of spotting the talent in six successful projects this year so far!
With years of cinema expertise and now also ruling the internet space, Mukesh Chhabra has successfully spotted and honed the very best of acting talent in line with the exact requirements of feature films, TV commercials and other mediums. The ace casting director, who has worked on the latest and most talked-about show Sacred Games, says that the advantage of casting for a web series is "no market pressure".
India's first original on Netflix has Saif Ali Khan play an anguished cop, Sartaj Singh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui - a cold-blooded gangster in the country's mafia heartland and Radhika Apte as RAW official.
While he had personally handpicked brilliant talent suitable to portray their respective characters, the web series is being appreciated by a major chunk of audience. While Jitendra Joshi and Rajshri Deshpande were discovered through the regular casting process, actress Kubbra Sait, who has received maximum accolades for playing a transgender was already part of Mukesh's acting workshop.

Released on July 6, the Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane-directed series is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra's famed novel by the same name. The neo-noir thriller has received appreciation from the critics and audience alike for its taut script and powerful performances by the ensemble cast.
