Rajkummar Rao as a king in Raabta
Composer Pritam took to social media earlier this week announcing his disassociation from Dinesh Vijan's Raabta as the makers wanted to have an "outside song" in the album. Now, we have learnt Sachin-Jigar have been stationed in Budapest for the past few days to finalise the film's background score.
The musician duo is collaborating with the Hungarian Studio Orchestra, considered among the most versatile players on the international scene. Speaking to mid-day on teaming up with the Hungarian orchestra, Sachin says, "Their playing is characterised by the passion, energy, and commitment that its musicians have lent to the background score. It will be masterpiece designed to engage musicians and audiences alike."

Jigar adds, "It's a pairing of old masterpieces and contemporary pieces. We have used a 72-member orchestra using varied instruments from string section to horn and windwood." When we reached out to Peter Illenyi, head conductor of Hungarian Studio Orchestra, he sounded excited about their Bollywood debut. "It has been a wonderful experience collaborating on this project with Sachin-Jigar. We would love to visit India some day as the music [of Hindi films] is diverse and enriching," he adds.
