The show, titled Ishaan, is based on an inspirational journey of a young boy who finds friends and a sense of belonging through music.

"I have always enjoyed watching Disney Channel with my kids and I am happy that my company is producing a show that will be part of the Disney family," Shah Rukh, who heads the television arm of Red Chillies Entertainment, said in a press release. The show will include a soundtrack of 11 original tracks.

Other than various child artistes, "Ishaan" will feature television personalities Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul. It will go on air May 15.
