Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh declined an offer of Rs 2 crore to appear at a wedding.
Ranveer Singh was recently offered Rs 2 crore to attend a wedding for 30 minutes. Yes, Rs 2 crore for 30 minutes, you read that right! Well, these offers keep coming the actors' way and some do oblige. However, Ranveer declined the offer, and the reason will make you admire him. The 'Padmaavat' actor is currently riding high on his film's success and thought that this wedding appearance would distract him from his shoot for 'Gully Boy'.
A source told DNA, "Ranveer is a perfectionist when he is shooting and concentrates on the minutest details as part of his prep for the character he plays. For him to pull off this appearance would mean him wrapping up the shoot (he is shooting from 6 am to 6 pm every day for Zoya's film), flying to a different city and returning the same night to report to the set at the crack of dawn the following day. Doing that, he wouldn't have got any time to rest. So, he told his team that he would like to concentrate on performing his role better than focus on the money offered and asked them to decline it."
'Gully Boy' stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, wherein the former plays a rapper. Farhan Akhtar is penning dialogues for sister Zoya's Gully Boy. This will be Ranveer's second film with Zoya after 'Dil Dhadkne Do'. The film is inspired by Mumbai rappers Naezy and Divine, who belonged to a Kurla slum before they shot to fame.

Earlier, Ranveer had even uploaded a video of himself rapping the title track of the film. However, he later deleted the video from his Instagram account. Ranveer has been prepping with Divine to learn the nuances of rapping. Divine earlier told mid-day that while work on the film had commenced during the filming of 'Padmaavat', it has garnered pace only now. "Ranveer genuinely loves hip-hop [music]. Currently, we are listening to music and jamming together," he says.
