Rani Mukerji
It won't be wrong to call Hichki a special film for Rani Mukerji. The actress, who was on a maternity break, will return to the silver screen after a three-year hiatus. And like always, Rani is taking extra interest in making sure she promotes the movie well.
Since the film is about overcoming weaknesses in one's life, Rani wants to kickstart the promotions on an auspicious note. So, she has befittingly chosen the day of Makar Sankranti to start the campaign. Says a source from her team, "Rani wants to start her promotions for Hichki on Makar Sankranti, which is a holy day. The festival is dedicated to the Sun God, and it marks the beginning of a six-month long auspicious period known as Uttarayana. It is a day to pray and express thanks for success and prosperity. It couldn't have been a better day to start the promotions," says a source.
Rani is set to travel to Ahmedabad and interact with students and her fans for promotions. "There is a slew of activities that have been planned. The team wants to drive home the message of the film right from the start. Ahmedabad is the first city that Rani is visiting. She will visit eight more cities to promote Hichki," the source adds. As a custom in Gujarat, the rooftops of Ahmedabad will come alive with beautifully designed kites on Sankrant. Rani will also fly a kite as part of the promotions while interacting with the local media.
