A few days ago, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor teased their fans with a glimpse of their reading sessions of their upcoming horror-comedy caper. There were too many speculations around the film's title. The makers finally christened the film as Stree (Woman). The film is being produced by Maddock Films and is helmed by Amar Kaushik and written by A Gentleman's director Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.
Titled 'Stree', the film went on floors on Thursday. Rajkummar took to his Twitter account to share the clapboard of the film. He wrote, "We have a title! Shoot starts on our horror-comedy #Stree. Exciting schedule ahead! @ShraddhaKapoor Directed by Amar Kaushik Written by Raj&DK Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj&DK (sic)."

On Monday, Shraddha had shared this post. "But..... what's the title? Readings with the absolutely fantastic @RajkummarRao Horror-comedy time!"
Looks like after 'Golmaal Again', the horror genre has been tapped by many industry insiders. Anushka Sharma, too, is coming with a dark-horror film 'Pari' and now, Shraddha and Raj's 'Stree'.
The pairing is quite fresh and the picture shared by them already executes their chemistry. Apart from 'Stree', Shraddha has Prabhas' trilingual film 'Saaho', Saina Nehwal's biopic and has recently been confirmed for Shahid Kapoor's socio-drama 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor's 'Fanne Khan'.
