Rahman met up with the celebrated composer Vangelis in Greece

Academy Award winner A R Rahman received a special invitation from Vangelis. In the past, the music composer has worked with other international artistes such as Pussycat Dolls, Akon, etc.

Rahman's meeting with Vangelis was personal and professional as well. It is believed that Vangelis really liked Rahman's score in last year's multi-Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire.

Through his agents in the States, he contacted Rahman andu00a0 invited Rahman over to his house in the Greek Islands a couple of weeks back.

Evangelos Odysseas Papathanas-siou is a Greek composer of electronic, progressive, ambient and orchestral music, and is better known as Vangelis.

He is best known for his Academy Award-winning score for the film Chariots of Fire, and scores for the films like Blade Runner and 1492: Conquest of Paradise.

In a career spanning 47 years, writing and composing more than 40 albums, Vangelis is generally regarded by music critics as one of the greatest composers of electronic music of all time.
