Only Ram Gopal Verma can outdo himself in this unique manner. The producer yesterday launched a contest for Phoonk 2. He declared that if a viewer can control their heartbeat while watching Phoonk 2 alone in a theatre, he or she can win Rs 5 lakh. While this is similar to the Phoonk contest, he has gone one step further u2013 the participant will be hooked on to an echocardiogram/graph (ECG) machine for the entire duration of the film. Only if the machine proves the participant was not scared at any point of the film will they be eligible for the prize money. RGV decided to take the help of science after many participants of the Phoonk contest claimed they had won it and were denied their prize money, even though they had not fully complied with the rules. This time around, the participants will also not be allowed to shut their eyes while watching the film. They will be constantly monitored all the time they are in the theatre.
The contest will be launched on March 10 on the film's official website and will be open to everyone between the ages of 18 and 60 who do not have a history of heart disease. Contestants will be screened by competent medical personnel before they will be allowed to take part in the challenge.
