Pulkit Samrat and Jimmy Sheirgill wrap up shoot of 'Veerey Ki Wedding'

The shoot of Pulkit Samrat, Jimmy Sheirgill and Kriti Kharbanda-starrer Veerey Ki Wedding has been wrapped up. Directed by Ashu Trikha, the family entertainer has Samrat and Sheirgill playing on-screen brothers. While Kharbanda plays the female lead, Satish Kaushik and Supriya Karnik will be essaying the role of her parents.

Veerey Ki Wedding, as the name suggests, is a wedding drama and true to the genre, the makers left no stone unturned to make it a glitzy affair. Producers Pramod Gomber and Rajat Bakshi were sure that they wouldn't compromise on the budget.

The makers credit the production house, Make My Day Entertainment, for giving them a free hand and allowing them to mount the film on such a grand scale. The producers recollect how they spent more than R2.5 crore on creating an opulent set, for a wedding sequence in the film. The romantic-comedy has been shot entirely in Delhi and the NCR.

While the film, co-produced by Chandan Bakshi and Karan Gomber, is currently in its post-production stage, it has already generated buzz among the audience. Music is an integral part of a wedding movie and the multi-starrer boasts of melodious music by Meet Bros and others. The highlight of the album is the foot-tapping party number rendered by Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha Kakkar and others.

What made the film's shoot such a breeze was the stars' camaraderie off screen. It was this effortless off-screen chemistry that translated wonderfully on the big screen. "Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Jimmy Sheirgill and Yuvika Chowdhary got along like a house on fire. We all were like one big happy family on the set," mentions the producer. A roller coaster ride, Veerey Ki Wedding is expected to hit theatres soon.
