Barely a week after her debut Hollywood film, 'Baywatch', hit theatres, Priyanka Chopra is headed to Mumbai to sign her next Bollywood project. The actress is scheduled to touch down tonight for a four-day trip, which will also include taking stock of her ongoing and upcoming productions and fulfilling brand commitments.
Rumour is rife that PeeCee will be meeting filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his long-planned project, a biopic on Punjabi writer-poet Amrita Pritam.

"In all likelihood, Priyanka's trip will culminate in the project being locked. An official announcement, however, will be made only after the male lead (for the part of legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi) is cast," says a source.
Titled Gustakhiyaan, the film will follow Sahir's relationship with poetess-novelist Amrita Pritam before he went on to court singer-actress Sudha Malhotra. Names of Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan had emerged earlier as the male lead.

Last month, we had asked Peecee about collaborating with Bhansali for Gustakhiyaan when she told us, "When we meet, we inevitably discuss work. I can never say no to him, and will work with him whenever I get a chance. We are yet to figure out our special next." Priyanka was last seen in Prakash Jha's 2016 thriller, Jai GangaaJal.
During her brief Mumbai stay, Priyanka will also complete her magazine shoots. Once back in the US, she will start prepping for her Hollywood project, Isn't it Romantic, starring Rebel Wilson, that rolls in July. She will also start shooting for Jim Parsons-starrer A Kid Like Jake as well as for Quantico's third season starting September.
