Los Angeles: Neil Patrick Harris has said he tried getting out from Jimmy Kimmel whether he was hosting the Oscars 2017.
The 43-year-old actor said the popular talk show host had outrightly refused to presenting the Academy Awards the last time the two talked, reported People magazine.
"I had gone to LA to do a kids show sponsored by RED, the AIDS Foundation, and I saw him afterwards and I said, 'Are you going to do it or what? You're on ABC, the show is on ABC,' and he said 'No, I'm not going to do it.'
"Then a week later he announced he's doing it," Harris said with a laugh.
