One for the road

"I can't do without her and I hate it when any man touches her," says actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. Well, just in case you haven't noticed the picture on the right and have jumped to the wrong conclusions, let us tell you that Neil's talking about his bike the swanky blue Yamaha R1. In fact, if you're a resident of Napean Sea Road, you might have even spotted him on his hot blue machine. He says, "I usually ride only in my area because it is safer. I usually think twice about travelling long distances on my bike. These days I get surrounded by people on the roads and that is scary, because it can be quite distracting. A couple of weeks ago, I was riding to Marine Drive and I realised that it was a bad idea. People started cutting through, clicking pictures and all that.


I feel that when you're riding, you need to concentrate on the road. It can be quite dangerous if you lose focus."

We sure agree. But Neil hastens to reassure that he's a safe rider. "I'm a safe rider. I think bikes are fun, fast, but mean machines. You need to handle them really carefully," he concludes.
