TV actor Nakuul Mehta is upset that the makers of Padmaavat had to print advertisements in newspapers with disclaimers. Sharing a photo of a full-page ad, which enlists disclaimers busting misconceptions surrounding with the film, Mehta tweeted, "Statutory warning on a cigarette pack, I understand. This, I don't. No place for art in my country (sic)."

After watching Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat in a pre-release screening. mythological fiction writer Amish Tripathi vouched for the film. "It celebrates Rajput bravery, honours Rani Padmavati and says positive things about our culture. It's one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's finest films," he tweeted.
