One of the 'classy' couples of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor, and Mira Kapoor were the official groom and bride of the summer Lakme Fashion Week, day 1. The couple turned showstoppers for renowned designer Anita Dongre at the fashion parade held at one of the plush hotels in South Mumbai. Well, Shahid is a pro when it comes to making heads turn on the fashion pitch. However, this was his wifey, Mira's debut on the runway. They both walked the ramp hand-in-hand and instead of just walking like a fashion display they kept talking to each other and gushing like a teenage couple. Isn't that adorable!? Doesn't one get bored of seeing the normal ritual of just displaying the design while walking?
Dressed in an ivory sherwani, Shahid looked royal and Mira looked beautiful in a subtle lehenga choli. Anita Dongre called them her show's bride and groom.

Talking about his experience of walking the ramp, Shahid tweeted, "Excited to have walked for @anitadongre 's @lakmefashionwk collection tonight. Great to see creations that will truly define #FutureCouture, designed with exclusive fabrics of the future from R | Elan @RElanOfficial (sic)."
Speaking to the media present at the fashion show, Shahid spoke about his much-delayed film Padmaavat's release and said that the team had to endure a lot of pain in the past one-and-a-half years. He said, "We missed out on a lot of things. We had to make lots of sacrifices. We had to learn to keep a lot of emotions in our hearts for one-and-a-half years in check. We had to be politically correct. The film had to go through a lot. But, today we feel vindicated."
