The buzz has it that 'Hamari Adhoori Kahani' director, Mohit Suri, is charging Rs 10 crore even from his mentors, the Bhatts

If sources from the industry are to be believed, Mohit Suri has asked the Bhatts to revise his fee for Hamari Adhoori Kahaani. It may be pointed out that Mohit made his directorial debut with the Bhatt camp and he was signed to direct Hamari Adhoori Kahaani even before he started work on his hit film, Aashiqui 2.

But now that both his films, Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, have done well at the box office, Mohit seems to want more. The director wants to cash in on his bankability and has thus asked the Bhatts to revise his fee for Hamari Adhoori Kahaani to a whopping Rs 6 crore.
A source from the industry says that Mohit had, in fact, quoted Rs 10 crore. "But he has now agreed for Rs 6 crore; accordingly, he has asked the Bhatts to revise his contract for Hamari Adhoori Kahaani," says the source.
When contacted, Mohit denied the story. "You think that the Bhatts are the kind who'll pay such figures? Their filmmaking is driven by a simple rule: high on concept and low on budget.
Hamari Adhoori Kahaani was signed before Aashiqui-2 and it's not a big budget film. Also, I haven't done films with a big star cast, so I can't ask such a fat fee. I do very off beat non-commercial films. May be in a year or two, I should start charging this amount," he said. Mukesh Bhatt too denied that Mohit had charged such a big amount. "This is not true, he has not asked us to revise his fee," he said.
