UK born singer-actress Harshi Mad has been making her presence felt in the music circuit in Mumbai. She has done over 1500 shows worldwide and recently, did playback singing with pop king, Mika Singh. Harshi was taken by surprise to get a call from Mika for his song, Raat Saturday Ki Hai, from the to-release film Love Day - Pyaar Ka Din starring Eijaaz Khan, Saahil Anand and Anant Mahadevan. Mika is known for his spontaneity and asked Harshi to show up for the recording and shoot the video impromptu.
"I thought I was a livewire, until I worked with Mika. He is a powerhouse performer. He has a million ideas, so he prefers not to brief his co-singers and performers ahead of time. He likes natural and honest performances," says Harshi.
While shooting, the crew got grooving to the song with Harshi and Mika taking centre stage. Harshi adds, "I am a party lover and enjoy dancing. Mika really makes the effort to ensure that everyone is comfortable, from the spot boy to make-up artist to dancers and his director. He shares a laugh with them and the shoot becomes fun."
This NRI talent is now set to scorch the dandiya circuit in Gujarat. Here's to Mika and Harshi for their new number, which promises to make party goers hit the dance floor and garba lovers to get groovin' in the Navratri season.
