Mika Singh: Donald Trump loves Indian music

The world turned its attention towards the US Capitol, Washington, on January 20 as Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 45th US President. Among the multiple dignitaries, industrialists and celebrities from across the globe attending the inaugural ceremony, Bollywood singer Mika Singh too arrived at the Lincoln Memorial, where the President hosted a pre-inaugural dinner.

Talking to hitlist before boarding his flight back to India from the US, the singer said, "I feel privileged to have attended the ceremony along with other influential members of the Indian community. It was stimulating to hear the President talk about America's future."

While Mika didn't get to interact with Trump, he shared a conversation with his daughter, Ivanka, and even tweeted a selfie with her from the venue. "It was an honour to meet Ivanka. She is intelligent, beautiful and down-to-earth. Mr Trump is a huge fan of Indian music and Indian community. He has even named his casino Taj."

Among the other Indian businessmen and artistes present at the do was Indian-American DJ and drummer Ravi Jakhotia, who opened the inaugural concert.
