"Pyaari hai mujhe desh ki zameen, mere desh ki zameen" are the lyrics of India's first wildlife anthem that pays a tribute to India's diverse flora and fauna. The song is titled as 'Mere Desh Ki Zameen'.
Bollywood actor Dia Mirza, who is also an activist for clean and green environment, unveiled the anthem at an event called 'Gaj Mahotsav' which was held to mark 'World Elephant Day'. The video of the song was published on 'UMusicIndiaVEVO's' YouTube page.
The song takes the audience on a beautiful journey, making them witness the vast and majestic wildlife of India using stunning visuals that have captured animals in their natural habitat. India boasts of the largest number of lions, tigers and Asian elephants in the world and the song has perfectly captured this heritage. The stunning visuals not only capture wild animals but also the variety of flora in India. The video will transport you right into the wild once, so powerful are the visuals.
Organizations like NatGeo Wild and the Karnataka Forest Department along with several independent videographers have contributed footage for the anthem. Big names of the industry including Shreya Goshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Benny Dayal, Vishal Dadlani and Clinton Cerejo have lent their voices to this beautiful composition. Prasoon Joshi has penned the lyrics of the song.

The anthem was produced by Dia Mirza, Sahil Sangha, Born Free Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. & Wildlife Trust of India. Alia Bhatt took to her Twitter and appreciated the anthem saying that she had tears in her eyes when she watched the video.
"Such a beautiful song!! And what are these visualsssss!!!! Had tears in my eyes through the song.. #MereDeshKiZameen @BornFreeEnt @deespeak Thank you for giving us another reason to remember why our wild life is so special," she tweeted. This anthem will certainly remind you to cherish the country's wildlife and make efforts to preserve it for the future generations.
