Bitti, Chirag Dubey and Pritam Vidrohi aka Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Rao took to the streets of Delhi to explore the delicacies and the local stalls for shopping.
The actors had a great time immersing into the colors of Delhi as they roamed around on the streets. Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao both hailing from Delhi had an upper hand at the escapade.
Kriti Sanon engrossed herself into buying the 'Dilli ka Jhumka' while the boys got bored. The trio had a fun conversation with the vendors which is a testimony of the friendly equation they share, as they were seen pulling each others' legs.
Each time Kriti Sanon would try Jhumkas and ask her co stars for their opinions they would turn back and say, ""Khareed le, khareed le, bahut achha lag raha hai!" Bored looking at Kriti buying her Jhumkas, the guys asked the shopkeeper, "Bhaiya, aapke paas ladko ke liye kuch nahin hai kya? Yahan ladke nahin aate?" To which the shopkeeper was quick to reply, "Aate hai na. Aise hi ladkiyon ke saath aate hain".
Rajkummar Rao continued asking, "Aur lete kuch nahin? Ladkon ke liye kya hai?" The vendor then showed them bracelets which were popular among men, to which the actor replied, "We can shoplift some of these very easily". The actor also revealed his mischievous side saying, "Haven't you? I've done that many times. But only sportingly". Backing his co star or pulling his leg though, Ayushmann Khurrana said, "Yes, this is like adventure sports for him!"
The actors then moved forward to 'Dilli Haat'. Sharing her experience Kriti Sanon said, "I have been to Dilli Haat only twice or thrice before. Pehle hi aana hua hai, uske baad toh aana band ho gaya tha yahan. Though it is hot in Delhi, we really like it. I think coming to Dilli Haat is like coming to the real Delhi- you get silver and junk jewellery, golgappas, chaat papdi, all at one place. The best thing is that you get to see Dilli ki janta here." The trio also indulged into hogging on some golgappas.
While the guys were happy with anything being served, just like very another girl Kriti Sanon had specifications, "I want chhote golgappe, suji wala golgappa de dijiye". Sadly, the golgappa wala did not have Suji ke golgappe and Kriti refused to eat anything else. After the Jhumkas and Golgappas, the next halt for the trio was the shoe stall. Showcasing his Dilli ka knowledge, Rajkummar shared, ""If I feel like buying some local stuff, I go to Janpath or Sarojini Nagar. In fact, when I was in college, I used to go to Sarojini a lot for shopping".
On their adventures in Delhi, the trio further explored the Shankar Market. While we know that Rajkummar Rao plays a salesman at the saree store in the film, he had learnt to drape a saree, but the actor seems to have forgotten it. He said, "Yes, I had learned how to drape a sari, but it's been a year, ab toh main bhool gaya". But his co star stepped in to help him, Ayushmann Khurrana quickly took a saree and draped it around Rao, saying, "See, it's so easy".
Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Rajkummar Rao further indulged into some other delicacies. While Kriti Sanon preferred Ram Ladoo, Ayushmann Khurranna ordered a Kulfi falooda. When Kriti Sanon offered her Tikki chat to Ayushmann Khurrana, the actor gave it Rajkummar Rao calling himself a 'Tikki Donor'.
The 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' team had a ball of a time on their tour and their trip only proves their desiness which will be depicted on the silver screen. The trailer of the film has got everyone hooked and the music of the film is winning hearts. The songs 'Sweety Tera Drama' and 'Nazm Nazm' are ruling charts. The latest song 'Twist Kamariya' too has been garnering appreciation for Kriti Sanon's powerful break dance and the crackling chemistry between Bitti and Chirag.
'Bareilly Ki Barfi' is the collaborative effort between Ashiwny Iyer Tiwari, creative producer Juno Chopra and writer Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame and Shreyas Jain. Nitesh Tiwari and Shreyas Jain contributed to a power packed script to Juno Chopra's sphere headed execution while Ashiwny Iyer Tiwari captured perfect frames.
'Bareilly Ki Barfi' brings to celluloid for the first time the team of Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao. The film is Ashiwny Iyer Tiwari's second film as a director. Bareilly Ki Barfi is produced by Junglee Pictures and BR Studios. The film is scheduled to release on 18th August 2017.
