Brit actress Kate Winslet has been named the best international actress at this year's Bambi Awards in Germany.
Kate was awarded the prize for her role in The Reader, in which she had played a German woman with a secret Nazi past. Here's more dope on the actress:
Winslet made her film debut starring in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994). But her career took off with Titanic in 1997.
At the age of 33, Kate became the youngest actor to receive six Academy Award nominations.
Winslet has been outspoken about her refusal to allow Hollywood to dictate her weight. A magazine once digitally altered her photos to make her look drastically slimmer.
Kate was outraged and the magazine had to apologise.
