Kabir Khan's 'Tubelight' starring Salman Khan is supposed to roll next week in Ladakh with a subsequent schedule planned in Kashmir. However, the actor and director team will have to wait to revisit the virgin locales in the Valley where they had earlier shot portions of their last collaboration, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (2015). Given the ongoing unrest in Kashmir, the production team has been forced to scrap travel plans to that state for the time being.

A unit hand says, "We are flying to Ladakh on July 25 for the first leg of shoot, but will return to Mumbai after that considering recent developments in Kashmir. We have been asked to keep away due to security reasons. So, the schedule has been indefinitely put on hold. As of now, no decision has been taken on shooting at alternate locations that can pass off as Kashmir."

Normal life remains paralysed in the Valley due to curfew restrictions and separatist-sponsored strike following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter on July 8. Mobile services have been suspended too.
Reportedly, it was on Salman's insistence that Kabir scouted for locations in Ladakh and Kashmir to shoot a major portion of the period drama set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian war over sovereignty of the Himalayan border.
