Jeet Gannguli
Apart from several Bengali albums to his credit, Jeet Gannguli has composed songs in Bollywood films like Rustom (2016), Sarbjit (2016), Sanam Re (2016) and Aashiqui 2 (2013). The composer-singer is now set to launch his debut Hindi album, which will comprise eight romantic songs. "I wanted to work on an indie project and zeroed in on a Hindi album because my fans wanted one. I enjoyed the freedom of expression I received while working on each song," says Gannguli.
That every Hindi rendition he worked on was selected for a Bollywood outing is testimony that music lovers are enjoying his work. "This time, I was determined to release my songs via an album instead of offering them to filmmakers. The first track, Barsaat, will release on February 6," he says. Penned by Rashi Virag, the music video features musicians who worked on the song. "I wanted to showcase them in my album. So, the songs have been shot in a live arrangement," he says, adding that the album will be available on all digital platforms.
