The condition of renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, who suffered a brain hemorrhage is stable yet critical, hospital authorities said today
Singh was yesterday admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra where he underwent a surgery following which he was put on life support system and ventilator.
"He is still in the ICU and under observation. His health is stable," Lilavati Hospital, spokesperson, Sudhir Dagaonkar told PTI today.
Hospital authorities said his condition was "stable yet critical."

Family and friends of the singer have refused to comment on Singh's health.
Brain hemorrhage is a known complication of uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure.
In January 1998, Singh had suffered a heart attack, which led him to quit smoking. In October 2007, he was hospitalised following blood circulation problems.
