Sunny Deol to promote sibling Esha Deol's 'Tell Me O Kkhuda', proving yet again why family comes first in Bollywood

There's no better example than Bollywood to prove that blood is indeed thicker than water. To say that the film industry is one big fat happy family wouldn't be an overstatement.

Time and again, there have been stories about stars being rescued and re-rescued by their more successful family members.

Here's yet another instance. Sunny Deol is going all out to ensure that his half sister Esha Deol resurrects her acting career successfully with her mum Hema Malini's home production Tell Me O Kkhuda.

Hema Malini confirms, "We are all part of the same family; everything that needs to be done to promote the film will be done. I don't think there is anything new or surprising in it."

The relationship between Dharmendra's two families has surprisingly been good till date, given the circumstances.

In fact, recently when news about Sunny doing a television show broke, Hema went on record to say he would be a great host.

A source says, "The Deols' film Yamla Pagla Deewana has done well.

With Dharamendra and Sunny doing television shows, they have managed to garner a lot of attention in the past one year. So Dharamji thought it would be best if Sunny is involved in the publicity of his daughter's film."

Interestingly, Sunny, Hema and Dharamendra have personally been supervising the marketing plan of the movie. Deol junior has apparently even hired a top-notch marketing executive.

"The plan is to get Sunny and Dharamji to be the face of the campaign and travel with Hema and Esha during their promotional tours.

The film has been facing too many roadblocks for a long time now and clearly they do not want to leave any stone unturned to push this film," adds the source.u00a0

And the nominees for Family Number One are...

Salman - Arbaaz - Sohail Khan
Since the very beginning, Salman the only superstar in the Khan family has been doing everything to boost his brothers' careers. Salman starred in his directorial debut Auzaar, which tanked. They followed it up with Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya that turned out to be a hit. Of course, Arbaaz Khan was almost written off as an actor before his debut production Dabangg happened, thanks to Salman bhai. Now with Dabangg 2, Arbaaz is being deemed as one of Bollywood's biggest producers. And how can he forget his darling sister Alvira. When her husband Atul Agnihotri's career was going nowhere with directorial superflops like Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha and Hello, Salman gifts him Bodyguard, which has now broken records in more ways than one.

Aamir - Imran - Faisal Khan
We all saw and learnt from Aamir Khan when he first launched nephew Imran in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in 2008. Imran was pitched as the cute boy-next-door, just like Aamir was when he made his debut in 1998. Jaane Tu... was a hit and Imran was deemed as the next big thing. But then came Kidnap and Luck. Post that, he had to seek mamujaan's help yet again. Apparently, Aamir sat on Delhi Belly for months before clearing the edit and now it has become Imran's career best. Buzz is that uncle and nephew will star together in a film soon. Aamir also made sure his brother Faisal got a bigger and better role in Mela, but we all know what happened to the film and Faisal post the release.

Yash - Aditya - Uday Chopra
Father Yash Chopra and brother Aditya Chopra tried every trick in the book to get Uday Chopra's Bollywood career shining. In fact, Uday has his dad and brother to thank for the only role he will ever be remembered for, which is tapori Ali in the Dhoom series. Yash Raj even pumped in money for Uday's Neil And Nikki and Pyaar Impossible, but by then it wasu00a0 impossible to fix the damage. The last we heard was Uday had announced his retirement as an actor on a social networking site.

Shilpa - Shamita Shetty
Shamita Shetty could never really match up to what sister Shilpa had achieved in Bollywood. Yet, Shilpa made sure her sister got noticed and bagged roles whenever possible. Apparently, it was Shilpa who got Shamita a role in Anubhav Sinha's Dus, when no one really was keen on signing her. And, of course, after Shilpa's Bigg Brother win in the UK, we saw Shamita enter the Bigg Boss house in India, which Shilpa ended up hosting.

Kareena - Karisma Kapoor
This is Bollywood's first family and it is not surprising if they'd go out of their way to help each other. After Raj Kapoor launched his sons, it was time for the new generation of Kapoors to help out their siblings. So now we see Kareena stepping up for the much-married Karisma when she decided to come back to Bollywood after a good five years. "Karisma is looking better than any other Bollywood heroine," she told Mid-Day making sure she generates publicity for her sister everywhere from red carpets to ramps.
