National award winning film maker Madhur Bhandarkar has unveiled the trailer of his next political drama 'Indu Sarkar' based on the 1975 Emergency and Indira Gandhi

Trust Madhur Bhandarkar to make yet another film on gritty reality. He unveiled the trailer of his film 'Indu Sarkar' based on Indira Gandhi-imposed Emergency that set off nearly two years of widespread arrests,censorship of the press and severe curtailment of civil liberties. While he has been non-committal about featuring characters modelled on the real life of the Gandhi family.
Supriya Vinod, who will also be seen as the late Prime Ministe Indira Gandhi while Neil Nitin Mukesh essays her younger son, Sanjay Gandhi. 'Indu Sarkar' also stars Kirti Kulhari in the lead who plays the role of a stammering poetess and who rebels against the system. Anupam Kher will also be seen making a special appearance, however nothing has been revealed about his role.
Neil Nitin Mukesh and Madhur Bhandarkar had earlier worked together in the 2009 prison-drama Jail. 'Indu Sarkar' will hit the screens on July 28.
